On Saturday 31 August, Bodegas Tarón celebrated its 60th anniversary with an emotional party for cooperative members and their families. The event brought together 230 people in an atmosphere of camaraderie and togetherness to celebrate six decades of history and winemaking tradition in Territorio Tarón.

The event featured two brief speeches by president Ángel Samaniego and manager Gonzalo Salazar de Gurendes, who thanked all those present for their loyalty and commitment to the cooperative. In their speeches, they highlighted the legacy of generations who have worked passionately to build what Bodegas Tarón is today, and toasted to many more years of shared success, reaffirming the community spirit that characterises the cooperative.

After his words, the evening continued with a musical performance by the group ‘Swingtronics’, with a vibrant energy and music that animated attendees of all ages and created a festive and intergenerational atmosphere.

Guests also enjoyed a delicious cocktail dinner, carefully prepared for the occasion. A variety of delicious dishes were served to delight all present.

As for the wines, some of our best labels were served, such as Tarón Tempranillo Blanco and Territorio Tarón 2017, which paired perfectly with the exquisite dishes on offer.

The good atmosphere and joy reflected the fact that Bodegas Tarón is truly a great family united by the love of wine and the work at Territorio Tarón. Everyone present shared unforgettable moments, strengthening the bonds that unite the cooperative and that, so far, have allowed to build a solid and successful tradition in Cuzcurrita de Río Tarón, Tirgo, Sajazarra and Villaseca.

Thank you to all the cooperative members and their families for being part of this great celebration. From here, we toast to another 60 years full of achievements and good times. We hope that this celebration has been a reflection of the commitment and passion that we all put into Bodegas Tarón.

In the year 2023, Tim Atkin, the renowned British Master of Wine, journalist and prescriber, chose Bodegas Tarón as the Cooperative of the Year. A choice that encouraged us, even more if possible, to persevere in our project, which is to make the Tarón Territory known through its wines.
