For Spanish wineries, winning a medal at the IWSC represents a powerful mark of excellence and a strategic tool to strengthen their presence in global markets.
“Territorio Tarón represents the essence of our four villages and the identity of vineyards with deep historical roots. Having an international jury of this caliber recognize our wine in this way encourages us to continue focusing on quality and respect for the vineyard,” the winery adds.
Territorio Tarón: The Expression of Four Villages in Rioja Alta
Territorio Tarón is made exclusively from Tempranillo grapes sourced from a selection of the finest vineyards across the four villages that make up Bodegas Tarón: Cuzcurrita de Río Tirón, Sajazarra, Tirgo, and Villaseca.
Each vintage, parcels are selected based on a shared characteristic: bush-trained vines over 35 years old, low-yielding and located on slopes, with the aim of reflecting both the character of the vintage and the identity of Territorio Tarón.Cada añada se seleccionan parcelas con un denominador común: viñedos en vaso de más de 35 años, de bajo vigor y ubicados en laderas, que buscan reflejar en el vino el carácter de la añada y la personalidad del Territorio Tarón.
Harvesting is carried out using small-capacity trailers to preserve grape quality from vineyard to winery.
With this new international recognition, Bodegas Tarón continues to consolidate its track record in major global competitions, reinforcing the value of a winemaking project deeply rooted in its territory, generations of winegrowers, and the distinctive character of Rioja Alta.
