Territorio Tarón, the place where you’ll wish time would stand still
4 April, 2022Bodegas Tarón holds a wine and food tasting with the Catalan press at the Avenir restaurant
23 June, 2022Bodegas Tarón has participated in Prowein 2022, the most renowned wine and spirits fair in Europe and one of the world’s benchmarks in the sector, which after two years of hiatus as a result of the pandemic has been held again between 15 and 17 May in Düsseldorf (Germany).
Our winery has doubled its presence by participating with two stands: the first one in the Spanish pavilion, shared with the rest of the Rioja delegation present at this fair; and the second one in the German pavilion, thanks to the fabulous representation work carried out by our local distributors.
This amazing showcase has served to reinforce Bodegas Tarón’s promotional plan in Germany, as well as being a great opportunity to meet with importers, distributors and agents from the main international markets.
Bodegas Tarón attended ProWein 2022 with its latest novelties, including the new vintage of Pantocrátor 2011, which is not yet available on the market, but which has already received its first award: a Bacchus de Oro at the last edition of these awards, held just a fortnight ago. Tarón Cepas Centenarias 2016 (91 points in Rioja Report Tim Atkin) could not be missed either.
This event has also served to present to the world the new image of some of our wines, such as the range of young wines, Crianza, Reserva and 4M, with which we seek to convey the winemaking excellence of Territorio Tarón and its four villages: Cuzcurrita de Río Tirón, Sajazarra, Tirgo and Villaseca.
“For Bodegas Tarón it is very important to make our work visible at a fair as important as ProWein”, said its manager, Gonzalo Salazar de Gurendes. “We are very pleased with the high level of interest shown in our wines”, he added.
This year, more than 5,700 exhibitors from 62 countries attended, making it the world’s largest gathering of wines, spirits and craft beverages.
