Last week it was celebrated in London the great annual dinner for delivering the International Wine Challenge 2019 Awards, where Bodegas Tar\u00f3n was present collecting the Gold Medal for Pantocr\u00e1tor 2005, as well as the Best Riojan Reserve Wine and Best Riojan Wine. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The president of Bodegas Taron Jes\u00fas Ruiz, along with the manager Gonzalo Salazar and the winemaker Laura Manzanos, collected, in the annual dinner organised by the International Wine Challenge 2019<\/strong> Awards in London, the Gold Medal given to the wine Pantocr\u00e1tor 2005<\/strong> by three jury presidents, nothing less than the Masters of Wine Oz Clarke MV,<\/strong> one of the most worldwide recognised personalities in the wine sector, considered almost a genius by the media and one of the main wine writers in England for his wealth of knowledge and experience, Sarah Abbott MW<\/strong>, consultant, writer and disseminator of the world of wine and Swirl Wine Group Director and Tim Atkin MW<\/strong>, journalist, photographer and one of the biggest worldwide experts in Rioja Wine.<\/p>\n

The wine\u00b4s name has an special meaning the word Pantocr\u00e1tor, of\u00a0Greek origin meaning, means \u201calmighty<\/a>,\u00a0the<\/a>\u00a0one<\/a>\u00a0who<\/a>\u00a0can<\/a>\u00a0do<\/a>\u00a0everything<\/a>\u201d. Knowing the potential of its product when baptised it this way, this wine has conquered the more exquisite palates. We received a few weeks ago the new that Pantocr\u00e1tor 2005 had been awarded with the Gold Medal in the International Wine Challenge 2019 contest, classified with an excellent score of 96 points. Besides, it was also considered best Rioja Reserve and best Riojan Wine.<\/p>\n

It was augured by Laura Manzanos, winery\u00b4s winemaker, when saying that \u201cPantocr\u00e1tor is a wine that offers the palate all that lovers of Rioja long for: creaminess, body, style and elegance. A brilliant Spanish star\u201d. Now a star which shines internationally.<\/p>\n

With great recognition in the United Kingdom and out of its boundaries, the International Wine Challenge (IWC)<\/strong> competition has been distinguishing and rewarding the best wines internationally for more than thirty years. The number of references which are presented each year grows exponentially which clarifies why the parameters that determines the final score are more and more demanding. Wines are blind- judged depending on the fidelity of its origin, region and harvest. Each awarded vintage goes through three blind tastings with at least twelve jury members, which differences this contest from others. Along with Decanter, possibly this is the contest which reunites more wine experts.<\/p>\n

Just after barely 5 months in market, Pantocr\u00e1tor 2005 overcame all the phases and made the judges fall in love with it, getting one of the biggest recognitions in the world of wine, adding this award to the gold medals obtained in the Sommelier Wine Awards 2019. \u201cThis recognition is the result of the everyday work of a great work team. This award is for each and every one of the members who are part of Bodegas Taron\u00b4s big wine grower family\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Pantocr\u00e1tor 2005<\/strong>, has been launched into the market after 13 years of guarding. The waiting had worth it. A limited edition which comes exclusively from vineyards which have been property of the winery for more than 70 years, with traditional formation in glass, carefully harvested by hand selecting the quality of the raw material.<\/p>\n

Traditionally elaborated. Its process is slow. After 12 months of separated breeding in American oak barrels of the two varieties, 90% Tempranillo and 10% Mazuelo, it is made the assembly and the wine comes back again to the barrels where it spends six months more. Once it is finished its breeding, it rests again in steel tank for other 12 months where it finishes tuning and is thus ready for bottling.<\/p>\n

Bodegas Taron<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Bodega Taron is the<\/a>\u00a0northernmost<\/a>\u00a0winery<\/a>\u00a0of<\/a>\u00a0the<\/a>\u00a0Rioja<\/a>\u00a0AOC<\/a>, very close to Obarenes Mountains and around four little villages\u00a0with<\/a>\u00a0a<\/a>\u00a0long<\/a>\u00a0tradition<\/a>\u00a0in<\/a>\u00a0grape<\/a>\u00a0cultivation<\/a>. With more than 700 vineyard hectares of around 50 years old, they produce a compilation of consistent and high-quality wines.<\/p>\n
